Elvino R. Sousa passed away unexpectedly Thursday, September 23rd, 2021 in the loving hands of his wife Filomena L. Sousa. He was born on October 1st, 1954 in the Acores island of Terceira to Carmina and Davide Sousa. He proudly served for the Portugese military while stationed in Mozambique as a certified nurses assistant. Upon immigrating to the US, he worked at Hope Webbing for 13 years, Slater Dye for 16 years, and the Pawtucket Animal shelter for 10 years. On May 29th, 1975 he married the love of his life Filomena L. Sousa. The couple shared three children; David Sousa, Sergio Sousa, and Scottie Sousa. Although he played several different roles over the course of his life, his most cherished was that of husband, father, brother, and grandfather. Anyone who knew Elvino knew that his granddaughters, Alexi, Hope, Elliana, Kennedy, Sierra, Jaclynn, Aubrey and his grandson Jameson were his entire world. Many people considered Elvino to be a spiritual healer, as he had a very special relationship with God and dedicated much of his life to helping others through prayer.
